Our stay at the Magherabuoy House Hotel was quite enjoyable, with an especially spacious room featuring a flat-screen TV and two double beds. The cleanliness of the room was notable and made us feel comfortable. The view from our room overlooking Portrush was a treat. Breakfast offered a good range of choices, and the quality of the evening meal in the Bistro Restaurant impressed us. I ordered the coq au vin with Diane Sauce. it was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. I did notice that some common areas seemed outdated and in need of a refresh, particularly the girls' toilets, which lacked a bit of attention. While the food and service were great, it did feel like the hotel's overall ambiance could benefit from some modernization. I appreciated the on-site dining options, but addressing the decor would elevate the stay even more.

Our family enjoyed a lovely stay with a cozy room and a delicious breakfast that hit the spot! We loved the chance to relax by the pool and unwind in the well-kept garden. Just a heads up, the pillows were a bit too firm for my liking, but overall, it was a great experience for the price! 😊

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
Our stay here was delightful! We enjoyed a hearty Sunday lunch at Leona's Tea Room, where the charming ambiance made our meal memorable. Don't miss the Bistro for breakfast. their service is attentive, making it an ideal start to the day. Be sure to ask about daily specials!

Large, bright rooms with imposing king-size beds create a comfortable atmosphere. The unique touch of a traditional Ulster voice in the lift adds charm, and the Sunday carvery offers an overwhelming array of delicious options that are impressive for any gathering.
The reception area could benefit from a refresh. its current appearance feels slightly outdated, which may not set the best first impression. An unfortunate lack of air conditioning in warmer weather can make things uncomfortable, especially for those not used to heat. instead, a fan is all that's provided. water damage in the bathrooms raises some concerns about maintenance that could affect future guests, as it looks like it’s been there a while. Lastly, while meals are generally enjoyable, the inconsistency in food preparation—like an overdone steak—can be a letdown when expectations are high.

great stay but some minor issues
The room was spacious with a lovely big bed that made for a comfortable sleep. I appreciated the responsive central heating, which adjusted perfectly to the changing weather outside.
Although my stay was pleasant, the evening bar service could have been faster.

Families will find comfort here
The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of. The breakfast was quite a spread, and I enjoyed a gluten-free cooked breakfast that was surprisingly good.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but still acceptable.
